Summer is here!

Summertime is finally here (despite it not ‘officially’ starting until later this month)! I, like many people, consider Day – Day the summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day) although I did enjoy the ‘presummer’ weekend (Friday-Sunday before Memorial Day) as well.

What did I do? Well Friday night I watched I Know What You Did Last Summer, because, well, the title really says it all. Saturday I worked on my basement for most of the day: sanding/sweeping/priming the stairwell plus sweeping/base coating/top coating the family room really ate much of the day away. However, not enough that I missed my friend’s “Pre Summer Shenanigan’s Bonfire”. The best bit? His brother (also a friend) was on leave from his base for the long weekend. A lovely surprise indeed.

Sunday I was so tired from a productive Saturday that I just lazed the day away. The biggest thing I did was go to Menards/Home Depot to pick up some doors for the basement. I also watched I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. I felt like I really needed to have both of them watched before Summer started (despite the fact they take place around the Fourth of July). I think one of the best parts is how the protagonist loses…or at least that’s the implication. You don’t see that too often if memory serves.

I ALSO made a really long list of Summer Fun possibilities. Out of the 50 some things I’m hoping to do at least half. We’ll see. If I were to do them all that is one every 1.9 days so we’ll see. The list is included below (in case you’re looking for inspiration) we’ll see how far I get!

Until next time
